Minerals are just as important for your horses. Here is a good source for those minerals, especially if you live in a higher iron, or higher selenium area. You can choose minerals without those minerals….and they have a higher zinc and copper balance in their mineral blends, which help in higher iron areas. Trust me, I know how much damage high iron can do to a horse’s hooves! These minerals helped save my Mustang mare’s hooves from an overabundance of iron.

If you live in a high iron area, or any area, this is an excellent salt for horses…..all livestock, actually. Even salt-water aquariums, or for your garden needs. It is really an excellent company!

If you don’t live in a high iron area, Redmond out of Utah has a good loose salt and rock salt for your horses and other livestock.

Also for the horses (Trophy Rocks are for hunters, but they are much cheaper buying this way when placing in the pasture for horses):
Note — you can also find these in Tractor Supply, or any farm supply store, especially during hunting season.
